Every time I’m with this couple I can sense how happy they are together. I knew their session would be natural and I was totally right! We had a great time together last Saturday in the Bishop Arts district of Dallas for their session. It’s such a historic and cultural place that we couldn’t help but get creative. Then we topped it all off with some amazing Texas barbecue at Lockharts! Couldn’t have pulled this one off without help from my friend Bob Hedlund. Thanks again Bob!!

Micah – Seniors

If you haven’t had a chance to see my previous posts, I love shooting in an urban setting. Just something about the buildings and the textures that just make great images! This past weekend I went out to Downtown Dallas with Micah, Joel (his brother) and my friend James. Micah wanted some cool city shots and he brought along his beautiful Breedlove acoustic guitar! We hit up several parts of downtown for pics and then went to a great burger joint afterward called Wingfield’s. If you live in the Dallas area and haven’t been by there, please do your self a favor and check it out. Anyway, now on to the good stuff!

Wedding – Melinda + Beto

I had such a great time shooting Melinda and Beto’s wedding a couple weeks ago. Not too often I get to have such a great time while working. haha The ceremony and reception were just amazing and everything went so smooth.

Much thanks so much to my friend and amazing assistant Timco from Orlando. We had such a great time spending the day with everyone.

Melinda + Beto

I love meeting couples that are truly in love. This couple is no exception! I’ve known Melinda for quite a while and seeing her with Beto just fits. They just seem meant to be together. These guys were great to work with and I can’t wait for their wedding next weekend!

Leon Bowater

I had an amazing excuse to travel to England a few weeks ago! His name is Leon Bowater. He’s the newborn son of two very close family friends, Jennifer and Dan. We (my sister and bro-in-law) had such an amazing time while visiting! We also got to spend some time in the town where they live, Lincoln.

And of course…I took pics while I was there! Here’s a few:

Igor Mataitis

I got to do something a little out of my comfort zone this weekend…photograph a 5 year old. haha I’m kidding but it really was great fun to hang out with little Igor and his family Saturday evening. We’re hoping this will give them some shots to use for Igor’s portfolio he will be using for some Christian modeling or performing arts jobs. I think he’s going to be great!!

I have the pleasure of playing in the worship band with Igor’s dad, Eduardo every week. They’re a great family from Brazil that have relocated their life to the States to minister in the areas of music and kid’s ministry. We really enjoy having them around and sure had a blast with the shoot Saturday!!

The Spot “Lock-In” Event

My church’s youth group, The Spot had a lock-in this past weekend and over 400 people showed up! This was the event that capped off Pastor Jamie’s attendance program called 713 that obviously worked. haha Needless to say, I’m very tired but was happy to be a part of it.

Black & White and White

What do you get when you mix a cool gray suit, a big watch and a very cool subject… (see below)

I’ve recently wanted to do a series with a white background using my lights (that I never get to use). I do mostly “on location” sessions so it’s not that often I get to use my studio lights. I figured this would be a great excuse to do something fun that I don’t get to do very often. Just so happens that I’m also on a black and white kick as well. haha

Anyway, here’s Jamie Weiss. He was my very cool subject for this project.

Snow!!!

Texas had the pleasure of experiencing “real” snow this morning, or I think it’s it’s real… haha I only say this because I grew up here and we usually just get either snow flurries or ice storms. So the fact that we’re getting this is a big deal. I’m just glad i got out this morning to get a few shots. This picture was actually taken with my phone, believe it or not!

Texas, enjoy this rare occasion and shoot some snow!!!
